This year's theme is "With Us, Not For Us." It serves as a reminder that people with Down syndrome need to be just as much a part of the work being done to secure them the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.
.@HamiltonPolice are currently responding to a bomb threat to Westmount Public Secondary School @HWDSB. Community members will see a large police presence in the area.

Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
It's observed annually on the day the police in Sharpeville, South Africa, opened fire and killed 69 people at a peaceful demonstration against racist laws and practices in 1960.
Today is World Down Syndrome Day - a day to advocate for the rights, inclusion, and well-being of people with Down syndrome all over the world.
Why March 21, or 03/21? The day was chosen to represent the triplication of the 21st set of chromosomes, which causes Down syndrome.
