Days 36, 37, 38 of #100DaysOfCode 🏊🏻‍♂️⚛️Deeper dive into React this week with more hook-y goodness 🪝useEffect 🪝 useReducer 🧪Component testing in React with React Testing Library 🎉Props are getting less confusing! 😵Tying in new concepts with 'old' ones is tough at this pace!!

Day 32, 33 & 34 of #100DaysOfCode ⚛️🪝Learned about React hooks (useState()) 📃Also dove into the many Array methods (map, filter, some, every, find, findIndex, push, pop, shift, unshift, splice, concat and more!) 🚫Immutability 🎶spread and slice, make things nice!🎶

Day 30 & 31 of #100DaysOfCode 👨🏻‍💻Really enjoyed the hackathon with @tariba_ where we got to practice many types of testing, and we learned a tonne in the process! Hope to be working together again soon! ⚛️Today we jumped into #ReactJS by looking at components and props :)

Day 27 of #100DaysOfCode Today we looked at Test Driven Development 📄🏎️🧑🏻‍💻 @tariba_ and I got our hands dirty writing some unit tests and tried out the 'red, green, refactor' approach of TDD. Getting to grips with Cypress docs tonight - bring on another learning curve! ⤴️

Day 26 of #100DaysOfCode Started working with ES modules this week by converting our 🎞️IMDBdb🎞️ hackathon project to ESM, as well as a few older projects Our deep dive into testing begins! We kicked off by writing a few of our own unit tests using Jest✅

Day 22 of #100DaysOfCode 🔗 Continuing with the PostgreSQL theme today with the concept of 'joins' - definately a powerfull tool to add to my arsenal, but one I need to practice. Databases can get complex quickly! 💓 First group meeting with was very supportive!

Extremely pleased with how my high-fidelity wireframe / design is coming along for my portfolio! Not a hope in hell that I can code it (yet!)...but that's going to be half the fun!! Any thoughts/feedback are welcome :)

Day 21 of #100DaysOfCode 🎙️Insightful morning talk from @sil 🗂️Started learning about databases (namely PostgreSQL) by querying it with CRUD operations. 🎬Created our own database for film info (title, release year, rating etc.)

Day 20 of #100DaysOfCode Another hackthon Friday! We built a RESTful recipe API as part of a CRUD app. Was great to get the opportunity to do this almost from scratch to cement our learning from this week. Muchos enjoyed working server-side and look forward to more next week!

Day 19 of #100daysofcode Today was a load of CRUD...😏 💤Finished our REST API build (🎉) 🧹Refactored our code into 'models' and 'routers', because as Jay-Z once famously said: "I got 99 concerns, but at least they're all separated" 🚀 Bring on hackathon Friday!!! 🚀

Day 18 of #100daysofcode 📮Today we got to grips with the powerful 'Postman', and how we can use it to act as the front-end of our application before we've even built one! ...so cool to know we're actually building our own servers(!) & handling real HTTP requests! 😎
