It may be the final day of #CaptioningAwarenessWeek but it is important to point out that captions are needed ALL YEAR ROUND and not just this week. People with varying hearing losses deserve the same freedom to enjoy access to theatre & the arts. @Stagetext #TheOnlyWayIsAccess

@DMTWestEnd Please make sure your touring productions in UK are accessible at ALL the venues to enable deaf patrons to have the freedom to see your wonderful shows. We often have to miss out because no captions exist which makes me very sad 😢#CaptioningAwarenessWeek @Stagetext

Shout out to all those theatres that provide accessible performances. Top tip, let people know about it! I see very few theatres post on social media throughout the year. Have posters up in your box offices and foyers and let your patrons know it exists. #CAW2023 @Stagetext

#CaptioningAwarenessWeek It may not seem much to others, but captions are more than just words. Captions gives us access to not just theatres or talks, but any video content throughout social media, websites, ads and so on. When you publish video content PLEASE add captions.
