So proud of the Year 4 children and their enterprise stalls at the May Fair. Well done to our country dancers too.

Seeing how the children’s communication skills are developing through Forest School is an absolute delight - not to mention the excellent sportsmanship following the judging which resulted in a giant hug! Well done boys and girls.

Years 2,3 and 4 had a great time researching Roman Britain at the Museum of Somerset this week. Dressing up, handling Roman artefacts and looking at the displays in the museum to find out how Romans lived here in Somerset. The children were a real credit to us all.

Many thanks to Andrew Skidmore from the Somerset Cricket Board for providing all of our children with some engaging cricket workshops this morning. The children had a great time working on key skills such as catching and batting.

Year 1 & 2 had a fantastic day at Perrott Hill School, enjoying a variety of different Forest School activities and tools. The hot dogs, ice cream and hot chocolate went down a treat, too!

Many thanks to Lee Andrews from Perrott Hill School for taking the time to visit Catkins Class. It was fantastic for the children to see the Earth’s atmosphere and be transported to space using the VR headset!

What a morning! Catkins had alien visitors - we think that it was Beegu’s parents… they left some amazing objects. We decided to put the alien eggs in size and weight order. Oh, and we tried the alien food!

Catkins had an excellent time pond dipping yesterday afternoon - a great way of reinforcing the importance of looking after the habitats around us and thinking about food chains. Special thanks to Ben Goldsmith for sharing his expertise and time with us!

We loved celebrating the children’s work with friends and family on the final Friday of term. We look forward to welcoming you back on Friday 24th May at 2:45pm to see what our new topics bring.

Year four are settling well at Kilve Court today. This evening brings some orienteering and a walk on the Quantocks.

Haselbury’s World Book Day on Friday was fantastic! All of the children looked fantastic, we enjoyed the various activities that were run by Year 4 and got a preview of Catkins’ poem that they will be performing in Praise Assembly on Friday. We hope to see lots of you there!
