It was a pleasure to meet Mr. Robert Creamer—American political consultant, community organizer, and author—and to discuss both his latest book and the impact of the work of his wife, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky. His book provides a powerful roadmap for grassroots activism in today’s deeply polarized environment. We also reflected on the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan and the importance of global engagement in supporting Afghan women and defending human rights under Taliban rule.
