Nearly four years since the Taliban’s return to power, Afghanistan’s women continue to face severe restrictions on their rights to education, work, and meaningful participation in decisions shaping their future. The international community must hold the Taliban accountable for systematic human rights violations and demand the genuine inclusion of women in all levels of decision-making. Without upholding women’s rights and challenging the legitimacy of the Taliban regime, lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan remain out of reach.
