This is simply false. LLMs hallucinate because they are LLMs. If they didn't they wouldn't be LLMs. They have no notion of "I don't know" or "I know" they just process input and deliver an output that statistically make semantic sense and nothing else. cdn.openai.com/pdf/d04913be-3…
