My last "day" at the amazing @CockshutHillSch.I've had an incredible 6 years full of some great moments and I've been lucky enough to have had THE best history team going.I'm officially handing over the history leadership reins to @MissaThomas. Thanks team CSH for everything!

Plans to drive literacy and reading more in history are underway. Hope more students lose themselves in a book and gain some relevant historical perspective of key time periods. Thanks @histassoc for the idea and the reading list. #history #reading

So impressed with my 7C5, 9H5 and 9C1 with their efforts at answering challenging historical enquiry questions today. At the end of a long term students were recalling months of work from memory to answer these questions. Reaping benefits of constant modelling and recall #history

Inspired by the latest articles in @histassoc and a great conversation with @PrincipledEd about medieval religion, I've made some changes to our lessons to add a non-white/European element to showcase some extra, important and relevant history. #historychat #meanwhileelsewhere
