#IBPLC in collaboration with west Azerbaijan electricity distribution company, use a corrective measure in which bare wires were replaced by Aerial bundled cables(ABC). Now our lovely friend, nurses it's chicks safely.

Good news for #raptor lovers ... The nest which was installed on one of the electricity poles at #Meyghan_Wetland on April 17th, accepted a pair of lovely #common_Kestrel. These new friends will be breed and nursing their chicks safely.

IBPLC, on April 17th, for the first time in Iran, installed 150 rotating #bird_repellent on #Meyghan_Wetland electricity poles. Also, the thirty-first artificial nest box for raptors was installed. Another action, was visit the covers installed in previous projects & rectify them

Start of week 2 with my first dead #whitestork under a powerline. Although the pylon was "protected" there was still an attempt to build a nest. It's urgent to correct powerlines and to find better ways to avoid electrocution and collision of birds. #ornithology @innovationatEDP

We celebrated #World_Wildlife_day at Abbas abad #Wildlife_Refuge by installation of 450 #Spiral_flight_diverters(7 km) to prevent #Macqueen_Bustard species from collision with powerlines. Thanks to Avaye Boom Ornithologists association and Isfahan electricity company.

Abbas abad #Wildlife_Refuge (Chupanan, Na'in, #Isfahan) is a very important habitat for #Macqueen_Bustard and collision with #Power_lines is the cause of high mortality rate of this Vulnerable species.

First bird #anti_collision project of @ibplc at #Meyghan_Wetland. This vast area is hunting and feeding site for many species such as #Long_legged_Buzzard, #Northern_Lapwing, #Ruddy_Shelduck and #Rock_Dove that by 9 poles is divided into two regions. Also all poles are insulated
