Wrapping up my visit to Panama, I had productive meetings with Panama Canal Administrator & the Panamanian Maritime Chamber. It was also a pleasure to speak with the next generation of maritime leaders @umaritima & connect with IMO @MTCC_LAmerica. Vital for a sustainable future.
On my second day in Panama, I held a productive discussion with the Panama Maritime Authority on empowering women in the maritime sector. Joined by members of @WistaPanama we called for action to boost female training, visibility, and leadership. #WomenInMaritime

On my final day in Marshall Islands I sailed on the SV Juren Ae, visited the port & met with maritime professionals. I got a close-up view of the iconic canoes too! Thank you Min of Transport & Trust Company for discussions on role of strong ship registry in #sustainableshipping.

Kia Orana! Arrived in the Cook Islands & had the pleasure of meeting Foreign Affairs Minister Hon. Tingika Elikana, before joining his team to discuss matters of common interest, from their upcoming #IMO audit to making the most of the recently opened IMO Pacific regional office.
Held a productive meeting with Minister @JamesMeagerMP discussing retaining resilient maritime supply chains for New Zealand; and met officials from Ministry of Transport, #MaritimeNZ and other agencies to discuss actions on maritime safety, security and environmental protection.
I was honoured and humbled to have been greeted by a traditional Māori ceremony in Wellington, New Zealand, acknowledging the People of the Land, a gentle reminder that at #IMO we strive for inclusivity in our work and our maritime sector.
A meaningful visit to the Seafarers Welfare Centre at Port of Auckland. Great to learn about how New Zealand supports seafarers and my appreciation to all those working and volunteering in the Centre. And thank you all for the animated conversation! #seafarers #IMO

Another busy day in Fiji. I visited the Pacific Centre for Maritime Studies, I toured the facility, tested the simulator, & connected with maritime students & cadets. I even planted a tree. These exchanges are a joy and truly highlight how vital shipping is to the Fijian people.
