We know that many of the studies in ICU define RFS simply as a drop in PO4 without any individual patient assessment for actual risk. *Unpopular opinion* this is not RFS - RFS can be avoided with assessment & plan.

Our #systematicreview and #metaanalysis covered 26 RCTs of PN lipid emulsions in #ICU pts. Signals on mortality rates were observed when clinical benefits were most pronounced for fish oil, this encourages further research. @lzyii @DarenHeyland @CStoppe @AileenHill_ICU
