Congratulations to the winner of our Spring Competition. Daniel Davies, studying at Leeds University & from Birmingham, submitted this fantastic sketch with some of the most iconic structures in Birmingham. He has won a timber design manual to EC5. More competitions on the way!

Patrick is our publicity officer, he manages the posters, emails and posts that we send out to our members for events (so guess who is writing this!). Previously he was our ambassador to the University of Birmingham. If you would like to join our group, please get in touch!

Our committee has regular attendees from six different companies and institutions throughout the west midlands (e.g. Arup & WSP). Callum (Ramboll) and Lucia (Hydrock) are two of our regular members who have helped us to organise events. If you would like to join us, get in touch!

Our next committee member is Zeina, she is a postgraduate student at Warwick University and is our ambassador to the university and has helped us to organise many events for the students there. If you too are a student who would like to help us, please get in touch!

We will be holding our next committee meeting on the 18th February at 18:00 at Ramboll's Birmingham office. Anyone is free to come along and food will be provided, so if you would like to come please let us know so that we know how many to cater for.

As the young members group, we try and maintain strong links with the universities within our region. We are very grateful to have an enthusiastic group from Coventry University such as Kaan and Mahdi (pictured) who help us organise events at the university.

We will be having a networking evening this week on the 17th December with the ICE graduate and students group at the Canal House, Birmingham. We will be meeting at 18:00 for an informal gathering and celebrating the holiday season.
