šØ Maharashtra government has reduced the minimum passing marks for SSC science and mathematics from 35 to 20 marks out of 100.
This is an utter nonsense decision. Your thoughts?
@IndianTechGuide Since they can't improve the Quality of Education... They just reducing the standard itself Masterstroke
@IndianTechGuide What not reduce to -1? This ensure everyone passes.
@IndianTechGuide Such a shame that after 75 years of independence, we are implementing this ! Our entire education system needs to be nuked and a fresh more sensible one introduced. With every passing day more and more bizarre changes are introduced.
@IndianTechGuide Why not make the passing mark as zero!! After all India has discovered Zero and it will be a fitting tribute to Brahmagupta & Aryabhatta.
@IndianTechGuide When people with zero marks can get admision in higher education and jobs in name of social justice This is nothing wrong here too š
@IndianTechGuide What is the point? Disaster move If a student getting 20 /100 they are not supposed to study science and mathematics.
@IndianTechGuide Why to take exams, just pass every one Merit is killed every day this country
This is a wrong decision. Mathematics is crucial in managing finances and is also a scoring subject. Science is also essential in life to understand the autonomy of the body and the functioning of basic electrical and mechanical devices. Authorities should have raised the passing level to 50 marks for math and made no change in Science. It is better to opt out of these subjects rather than reduce the passing marks.
@IndianTechGuide Bloody hell. Why even conduct any exam
@IndianTechGuide There should be 0 Passing marks , because of this many students are committing sooside.
@IndianTechGuide Maharashtra, especially Pune, has a reputation for maintaining high educational standards. I completed my SSC exam in 1968, when the passing mark for all subjects was set at 35%. Reducing this to 20% is a step backward in every respect.
@IndianTechGuide Thanks for increasing the population of people who can call themselves educatedšæ
@IndianTechGuide Expect more PMs of India to come out of Maharashtra nowāļø
@IndianTechGuide Yaar 10 pehle karte toh mera bhala ho jata š
@IndianTechGuide Intelligence level gir gya hai kya?
@IndianTechGuide Wow, what is this?? Is it for all or only some reserved category? If it is for all, it is a shame as passing marks dropping to 20
@IndianTechGuide They are not even able to score 35 now!
@IndianTechGuide Bsdk...stop spreading misinformation !
This might backfire. Shouldn't we encourage students to strive for excellence instead of settling for mediocrity? If students know they can pass with just 20 marks, will they really put effort into improving their understanding of these important subjects? It feels like we're lowering our expectations rather than raising them!
@IndianTechGuide š¤¦Let's make it 10. Has anyone wondered why China is making strides in Technology and Innovation, while we stagnate...It's got to do with the Quality of students we produce. Expect these students to become Engineers and build bridges of the future.
@IndianTechGuide 20/100 to pass in science and math? This is not reform, itās a disaster for future generations. We need to raise the bar, not lower it and improve education standards.
@IndianTechGuide In a relief for SSC students struggling with maths and science, Maharashtra govt has decided to reduce the minimum passing marks required in the subjects to 20 out of 100, from 35 at present, in its new school curriculum framework.

@IndianTechGuide Eknath Shinde must have secured 20 marks out of 100 but passed the exam. All BJP leaders score must be in the same level.

@IndianTechGuide Worst decision. In this way, the desire to study will be lost in the students. They will think that they have to get only 20 marks and will do it by chance. I think the Maharashtra Government should take back this decision. #MaharashtraGovernment @CMOMaharashtra @mieknathshinde
@IndianTechGuide Very nice. Now they can show a far better pass percentage.
@IndianTechGuide Itās fine ! Neither topper nor 20% guy will get a job so at least pass hone ka satisfaction toh rahega š
