🚨 West Bengal government makes it mandatory to screen one Bengali film at prime time in multiplexes.
@IndianTechGuide This is called lite Dictatorship and they blame Modi ji 😂
@IndianTechGuide Local cinema ko importance dene me koi burai nhi hai Right decision
Amazing step! Infact I think during primetime all McDonald's Ice cream machines should stop dispensing softies and mandatorily dispense rasogulla. Infact I think during primetime Netflix should only show bangla shows. After all what do businesses know about what their customers want. Commie Didi knows better! Growing up I used to know Bombay, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata as the Indian cities, I used to wonder whatever happened to Kolkata, why isn't it relevant anymore. Now I understand.
@IndianTechGuide This is nothing but political appeasement by the TMC — instead of focusing on law & order and jobs, they’re busy enforcing cinema propaganda
@IndianTechGuide Good step. Now, make bangla films actually worth watching. Not “too far” in my opinion. One show everyday during prime time is not that huge of a deal, and helps uplift the local industry.
@IndianTechGuide Good step to save their mother language
@IndianTechGuide Excellent move. Bollywood was designed to impose Hindi in India. It's time to limit Bollywood to its own space. Native movie industries should thrive.
@IndianTechGuide Bengalis make better movies than Bollywood movies so no need of this rule.
The West Bengal government has issued a notification requiring all cinema halls and multiplex screens across the state to screen at least one Bengali film every day during prime time—defined as 3 PM to 9 PM. This must happen 365 days a year, ensuring regional cinema gets consistent visibility. The new mandate replaces a previous requirement of 120 Bengali film screenings per year, which often ended up being scheduled at less favorable times. The government plans to update the West Bengal Cinemas (Regulation of Public Exhibitions) Rules, 1956 to officially incorporate this requirement
@IndianTechGuide A step towards preserving local flavor in the era of global blockbusters.
@IndianTechGuide Good step to preserve and promote our language & culture. Hope quality films get the spotlight.
@IndianTechGuide Today what to screen? Tomorrow what to eat? And then how much to sleep? Etc
@IndianTechGuide nice way to promote their culture
@IndianTechGuide 🚨 West Bengal mandates screening of one Bengali film each day during prime time in all cinemas and multiplexes to promote regional cinema.
@IndianTechGuide That’s a very “Bengal” move, mixing cinema with cultural policy. It could give a big boost to the Bengali film industry, but let’s hope it’s about promoting good stories, not just ticking a political or linguistic box.
@IndianTechGuide They already made business hard in bengal and now they want to control them too. Is it still democracy ??
@IndianTechGuide Viewers should have the freedom to choose what they watch, not be dictated by Mamata’s cultural politics.
@IndianTechGuide It was Bangla cinema that gave India worldwide recognition in the film industry.
@IndianTechGuide Bengali asmita reigns supreme in West Bengal.
@IndianTechGuide Meaning, all non-BJP ruled states have the same opinion against Hindi
@IndianTechGuide Forcing prime-time slots is a PROTECTIONIST lever dressed as cultural policy, it will push short-term visibility for Bengali films but could hurt multiplex economics if demand is weak, leading to either higher ticket prices or cross-subsidies from other shows.
@IndianTechGuide Language revival through cinema is smart cultural policy. The next step is ensuring that audiences get compelling stories, not just mandatory content in prime slots.
@IndianTechGuide Not a bad idea. It will promote regional cinema
@IndianTechGuide Kuch dino bad government hi nahi rahega 🤣🤣
@IndianTechGuide The intent isn't wrong, but forcing not gonna help the Bengali film industry.
@IndianTechGuide No one likes Hindians. All need to go back to their sheit hole.
@IndianTechGuide It’s ok. Otherwise Bollywood and south dubbing movie in West Bengal and bengali film industry is struggling
@IndianTechGuide This will motivate the local film industry to invest more, and a guaranty is always good for local industry. Which is struggling in most parts of India except south. So great decision. Don't let your hate make your perspective blind.
@IndianTechGuide It's not dictatorship it's a good initiative to promote local language and create More jobs
@IndianTechGuide It's old strategy to put in divide and rule. The more you divide the more you rule.
