@lynz_h55 @TheHalcyonSavan @PSTaylor13 No, all observations are theory-laden. Theories choose what observations are made; theories determine how; theories (mis)interpret the results as 'data'. A problem consists of at least two conflicting theories, not necessarily about 'data'.

@davidmanheim @DavidDeutschOxf @_FitCrit Theories never emerge from evidence. One reason is: multiple (conflicting) theories are consistent with the same evidence. (An infinite number of them, to boot.) Theory must always come before evidence. Evidence is then used to test if one theory's more accurate than another.
