#MoundSOAR First Grade Friends finally enjoyed a first day of learning in person this school year. Each student was provided personal learning supplies labeled and waiting on his or her desk (a math caddy, a book bin, and a work box).

#MoundSOAR 1st graders learned about fact vs. opinion as a way to talk about voting. Students used both fact and opinion to vote for a favorite snack, leading to a mini math lesson. Families were provided support resources for Election Day. Many thanks to @Scholastic @MoWillems

#MoundSOAR scientists enjoyed a spooky skeleton Zoom for an early celebration of Halloween. @MysterySci lesson FTW! Finger bones, palm bones, wrist bones, and arm bones...oh my! Students created X-ray art while studying joints to find bones in their hands.
