Recall going to watch a York v Fulham FA Cup tie about 20 yrs ago when M Al-Fayed personally donated £10K towards a ‘save York City fund’ - tremendous gesture - not sure many owners would do same today. RIP MA-F #lufc #FulhamFC

Both Revie & Shankly assessed the desire and mental strength of players before signing them - if they were lacking, then they weren’t signed. Pity the same wasn’t applied over the last 3 seasons #lufc
