I'm guessing @SlackHQ had a focus group to determine which sound to use as their notification. They were going to go with nails on a chalkboard, but respondents found the CH-CH-CH knocks to be more annoying, so they went with that. CH-CH-CH, CH-CH-CH, CH-CH-CH ALL DAY LONG 😭
