When you see failure as the feedback that something is wrong then you learn and grow
If you are not consistent then your dog cannot elect you as the decision maker and so will keep making important decisions for itself..
Having difficulty "ignoring" your dog? See it more as timing your greeting for your dog's welfare and peace of mind.
Real love for a dog is doing what is best for it - not us and loving it for what it is, asking nothing in return - as they do us.
Dogs only fail temperament tests because the temperament test always fails the dogs.
You never have to please or impress another person, just create the magic with your dog(s).
Living with a stealth dog is incredible, Silently they move in and before you know it you are stroking them, brilliant.
Perfect leadership is achieved when you win the hearts and minds of those you are leading. Using AB makes this happen.
When asked if someone can 'pet' your dog, never be afraid to say 'No'. Remember if something goes wrong your dog will be blamed.
If you only adopt the bits of AB that you like then please don't think that your dog will be convinced that you are leader.
Leadership and dominance are totally different. AB allows us to step up to the role of true leader, which your dog will love.
The perfect start to any day, invite your dog to come to you for a cuddle.
We know that dogs are not mind readers but they certainly pick up on sincerity. So make sure that when you praise them, you really mean it.
Teaching your dog a new skill should be fun for both of you. So please remember, they aren't mind readers!
Never look for gratitude from your dog, just feel grateful that you share your life with it.
AB is like a security blanket for every dog. Knowing that they have you to keep them safe is better than them trying to look after you.
I know that you think the best dog(s) in the world live at your house but sorry, they don't, they live at mine!;-)
The breed of dog is like a particular type of car. You choose but they all do the same job, some with more power than others, that's all.
The personality of a dog will greatly affect the displayed behaviour, especially when it is under pressure. The breed makes no difference.
