One day on from dropping hot lasagne with red hot cheese sauce on it and it splattering all up my legs. I Minimised damage by quick action so think i got off lightly. Just a couple of blisters #burn #healing

Dropping a lasagne fresh from the oven gets you hot bolognese and cheese sauce over your feet & legs. Cheese sauce in particular burns like hell! Think i minimised the damage. Now sporting blisters and cling film 😳

Its officially ‘too hot to walk any distance so swimming as main exercise’ season. Walked 45 mins home last week & was a hot, exhausted, ready to collapse, sweaty mess. Our communal pool is very quiet before 9.30am so thats when i get my swim in :-)

Well, a Couple of weeks ago my 17 year old car (Harry) decided to croak it without warning 😔. Head gasket amongst other things. Bit the bullet and have put a deposit on another car. Still, the garage i took her too have bought her for a fair price to fix & sell on. Bye Harriet.

Walk from La Zenia to Cabo Roig along the costal path yesterday. I love this walk and i love that the weather is beautiful still. Its cooled down a bit now so perfect for walking.

Trip to police station yesterday. Thats the final thing done before application for years 4&5 of our residency. Everything in order and now with our Lawyer to be submitted. Stuck 100% to the terms of our visa so All we can do now is wait and hope for a favourable decision.

Starting Round 3 of getting permanent Spanish residency. Round 1- visa for year 1 was mega stressful, Round 2 for years 2&3 equally so. Round 3- for years 4&5 -already stressed. Success 🤞= year 6 we will be hopefully granted permanent. Rejection = end of our dream life here.

This little chap passed away this morning… we adopted him when he was 5 and he was 18 years old when he died. He had a good and long life. RIP Snoopy.

Got back from visiting my daughter and 22 month old Granddaughter in America early afternoon today. Kept busy all afternoon to get back into time zone but now jet lag/tiredness is hitting hard. So worth it to see my girls. Trying to stay awake a bit longer. I may well fail 💤 💤

Sunset last night as i got out of my car at home. It was so humid my glasses steamed up as soon as i stepped out of my car. Beautiful evening but i was a proper sweaty betty by the time i walked from the car to my house.

This report brought tears to my eyes: the people of Southport: children, locals sweeping up around the mosque, shaking hands with mosque members, bringing balm after far right vandalism and riots. They are a stick in the eye of those seeking division. This is what community is.
