If it wasn't for Tesla and Elon Musk, we'd all still be driving gas guzzlers today. Remember: The only reason legacy auto is making EVs now is because Tesla is eating their lunch.
@JeffTutorials @ValueAnalyst1 Well there was the ev1 due to California regulation... But then they played politics on that
@JeffTutorials Its depressing to think where we would still be
@JeffTutorials Thank you for this tweet! You have truly inspired me. I’m spellbound. Because of this tweet, I’m going out to the shop and fire up the 66 and 67 GTO, 57 Thunderbird, 78 Trans Am and 66 427 Corvette and let them idle for at least half an hour. And be damn glad they aren’t Teslas
@JeffTutorials Not exactly They could continue to sell ICE for decades, ignore EV and spread FUD But, now that Tesla proved that it's possible to make EV that sell well and be profitable, all governments can't let the big boys continue to pollute anymore with their petrol car
@JeffTutorials Well thank goodness for that. Let’s keep rooting for Tesla and legacy lawmakers to continue the EV revolution.
@JeffTutorials And legacy autos trying to move to EVs quickly is going to be their worst mistake, their products are far inferior & they will lose more & more money the more EVs they sell. Legacy autos are equivalent to all the non-Apple smart phone makers especially Motorola, LG, etc.
@JeffTutorials We don’t have the electrical infrastructure to charge all the EVs he want to sell. Who is going to pay for that and how much coal would we need to supply the power plants required?
@JeffTutorials Tesla has only proved EV’s can be cool and desirable. Very important step miles ahead of legacy on that. Elon is amazing but 1% is nothing and most of Tesla profit has been credits. Also U.S. doesn’t have anything close to the infrastructure needed to sell EV’s at a larger rate
@JeffTutorials @ValueAnalyst1 $TSLA is more into their dessert now... 🙂
@JeffTutorials Seriously? Tesla cars are fabulous, but currently too expensive for the average work-a-day Johnny.
@JeffTutorials If not for Tesla I wouldn’t have switched to an EV for 3 main reasons 1. no reliable charging network combined with a slo charging speed 2. Minimal range and not conducive to road trips 3. Performance, looks, reliability
@JeffTutorials And because self rituals EV drivers aren’t smart enough to realize where the power for their plug in EV comes from. Hint, in rhymes with bowl.
@JeffTutorials Main reasons are China and EU regulations. But Tesla was somehow an eye opener for everyone. China has seen a chance to end the dominance of western combustion engines.
@JeffTutorials In the early days of Tesla I was of the firm belief that the German manufactures would quickly introduce EVs and that would be it. No more Tesla. I was completely wrong.
@JeffTutorials well …. VW had build e-cars already 30 years ago but nobody want to buy them … yes it was good that Tesla started the journey again but there were also lucky that the battery technology was ready now for a car. Yes points for Tesla for going the way but not all was done by Elon
@JeffTutorials You sir don’t understand how this works. Elon is great at over hyping stuff till it works. Tesla doesn’t make money without other car companies buying their excess electric car credits… when everyone else meets their own goals… then what ?
@JeffTutorials Gas Guzzlers are the very best!! I love mine and drive it every chance I get!
@JeffTutorials I’ll keep driving my gas guzzler to provide plants the carbon you are denying them.
@JeffTutorials Gonna go fire up my Dodge Challenger and thank God it isn’t a Tesla
@JeffTutorials We can’t all drive around in our pretty little white car staring at our phone waiting for mommy to reload your apple cash. Someone has to work, and drive vehicles that will do the work. Tesla is pretty nice but not the answer to everything. It takes fuel burning to charge them to
@JeffTutorials New “green” tech needs to having a selling feature that goes beyond smug satisfaction. People like exclusive status symbol cars, fun cars, and good aesthetic style. Tesla proved that mandates and regulations aren’t the most effective way to popularize green tech.
@JeffTutorials I wish they’d do some after market support stuff so I could convert my 97 jeep Cherokee to Tesla power. @elonmusk
@JeffTutorials FACT! All other automakers converting to EV stand on @elonmusk ‘s shoulders.
@JeffTutorials Gonna keep driving my gas powered turbo hotrod forever. EVs have no soul. Can't replace the sound.
@JeffTutorials Right, now we get to drive electricity guzzlers.
@JeffTutorials Lol, please, don't Exaggerate .
@JeffTutorials Someone explain to the.morons in the White house
