Elon Musk will pay over $15,000,000,000 in taxes this year, the most in American history.
@JeffTutorials Elon works 80+ hours a week, doesn't take vacations, doesn't get a salary, gets compensation in the form of stock options only if very ambitious pre-established performance goals are achieved. I wish politicians were held to the same work ethics and standards.
@JeffTutorials @TeleiosUNLMTD Are you saying he only has $225,000,000,000 left? I hope he makes it through the holidays.
@JeffTutorials Some people don’t even realize that roughly the amount he is paying in taxes could fund some states entirely 4 a year, yet some people are saying he STILL needs to pay more in taxes. Like he is paying the most taxes in one year to date! WTF else do these people want from him?
@JeffTutorials Governments & politicians spend @elonmusk $15 billion in taxes in 15 minutes. They need MOAR…
@JeffTutorials He really needs to pay his fair share. I mean come in now….
@JeffTutorials And this amount of collected taxes will probably give the federal government a leeway of two days due to excessive spending habits
@JeffTutorials "Nothing is certain except death and taxes." - Benjamin Franklin
@JeffTutorials what will senator Karen do with the money?
@JeffTutorials That is Awesome, He should get Person of the Years just on that fact!
@JeffTutorials Makes sense because after all he is the richest man in the world. He should pay a larger amount than his Secretary pays. How much money does a human need? How many generations does he want to finance ?
@JeffTutorials Work hard, innovate, take risks, change the world….then wait for the crybabies to tell you you’re doing everything wrong. You’re not donating to the correct charity, you’re not paying enough taxes. Because internet strangers know how you should be handling your life.
@JeffTutorials It's never enough for a hungry government unable to control spending.
@JeffTutorials Needs to pay his fair share. This is not right. He must pay more!
@JeffTutorials @bchoward123 plus all the $tsla investors Elon generated.
@JeffTutorials maybe we as citizens and tax payers should audit the government in how they utilize our funds. stop blaming the civilians and start holding those in charge accountable
@JeffTutorials It’s clear on this thread a lot of people asking him to pay don’t understand the basics of economics and why he has all of this wealth. I’m betting most of them believe his sitting on cash counting his dollars under his mattress.
@JeffTutorials This will cost investors a lot more due to forced equity sales.
@JeffTutorials @AmazingChevVolt And it will all go into the void of government debt. 🤦♂️ Total Debt to Total Revenue Tesla : 32% 10b debt 31b income (2020) Politicians: 725% 29t debt 4t income usdebtclock.org
@JeffTutorials I respect his opinion about the “budget” and “build back” plan, bc he actually understands those numbers on a personal level.
@JeffTutorials Musk creates Tesla and sells shares on the free market People buy shares with dollars Musk sells his shares to pay taxes Prices drop and people loose money Tax dollars barely make it into the real economy YOU are being milked. Elon tried to explain it but u wouldn't listen.
@JeffTutorials Ok once and for all. You only pay taxes on stock appreciation when you sell shares not while it appreciates. He’s worth 250b on paper and if he sold the entire amount he would pay capital gains taxes on the profit. It’s the same rule for ever U.S citizen. He also adds many jobs
@JeffTutorials And he is currently insulting 2 senators. Meanwhile me and all my friends pay about 30% without billions earned. Obviously the system needs an update to make these guys pay their fair share
@JeffTutorials And after he does he'll still be the richest person in the world by about $100B.
@JeffTutorials Give him the money. It’s much better in his hands. He’s the only one making progress on multiple fronts
@JeffTutorials @zack415 That money would do so much more in elon's hands than in the governments mismanaged hands.
@JeffTutorials Well it’s about time. The whole “but I only make $1 a year” charade is wearing a little thin. It isn’t the money. It’s the arrogant attitude and the middle finger to the average citizen who pays 30% in taxes and doesn’t have a corporation to hide behind.
@JeffTutorials What that money could actually be used for instead of being wasted by the govt
@JeffTutorials I see a lot of people defending the super rich, citing that they work hard and are more valuable to society. One must consider that they are lucky. Most people simply do not have the capacity to be a rocket scientist. It’s like different tax rules for people over 6’7” tall.
@JeffTutorials So many haters on this thread. I’m so grateful we still have a system (for now) that incentivized the worlds greatest do-ers to become magnificently wealthy for all the positive things they are doing for society. We should all be thankful this guy actually for real exists!
@JeffTutorials @potussteez And he still offered to fix world hunger if they could have proven their math. Smh at people's ignorance.
