Using Jeka, you can create native image of your Java application, without installing GraalVM. Just execute : 'jeka native: compile' or 'jeka docker: buildNative' JeKa will fetch and execute everything for you.

I'm sorry to say this but the biggest problem with JVM and Android development are build tools. I spend more time fighting build tools and getting things to actually work than anything else. You either need to be an expert in Gradle or a frustrated expert in Googling.
