This week my sister, her husband, and two friends visited for the eclipse and we talked a lot about @Tesla FSD 12.3.3 and how this can be a helpful tool to people getting older and not quite as confident driving as they used to be. We decided to go for some drives and I both demo’s it to them, then had them drive it using FSD 12.3.3. They were nervous at first, & asked a lot of good questions, some about what to expect or how to interact with the car, and some about what many might think are simple “tech” questions but things they found “difficult”. I think this is an area of opportunity for @Tesla_AI to address. Needless to say, they were blown away by how good it was … they had heard nothing but bad info, but after driving it, they were shocked how most of what they’ve heard was wrong! One even said I had opened her eyes to something she knew little about but it had a profound impact on her, especially as she is getting older but wants to maintain her ability to travel as long as possible. Might be a few new Teslas sold because of their experience this week! @SueCyber96962
@JoeTegtmeyer @Tesla OMG, they had to have been blown away by the cybertruck. lol
People get all bent about the robotaxi but the number of use cases FSD will enable is huge. Now. - at night with poor eyesight - home tired, after long day - after large meal - while on a call - with loud children in car - in unfamiliar area - long highway stretch The number of use cases will grow exponentially in time.
7 years ago I stopped driving cars for more than 30 minutes: I easily get tired and sleepy. But after i bought tesla model 3, I have not stopped driving: road trips to California and New Jersey, Washington, etc. I even volunteer to drive my wife who goes shopping every day and i wait for her in the car while i amuse myself in Movies, you tube, games, etc.
@JoeTegtmeyer @Tesla When we bought our M3 in '18, at age 65, I paid up front for FSD specifically because I believed it would drive me around when I was no longer able to do so myself. I'm feeling vindicated in that gamble these days.
@JoeTegtmeyer @Tesla Awesome. My son has cerebral palsy and, while he can walk, he has limited mobility in his legs, making it difficult to drive. I really hope we see FSD be approved to increase the independence of those like my son.
