I was thinking this morning how bad players’ attitudes have become. A (at the time) 20 year old who had a very average season got dropped for a final and that’s enough to warrant forcing your way out of the club, threatening them in the process? Ridiculous!

For me it looks like Saliba sticks his left leg out to intercept Cunha’s touch no way he has time to plant his left foot and then use his right to go for the ball. He hasn’t made an attempt to go for the ball and has tripped Cunha up.

This is the reason why I think VAR should call the ref to the monitor if: 1) They miss an incident 2) If they interpret an incident incorrectly e.g. if they think a player gets the ball but he doesn’t In this case, I imagine the ref thinks Cunha initiated the contact
