What I learned today (day 15): Fix your sleep schedule by understanding sleep cycles. An average sleep cycle lasts 90 minutes. A good night’s sleep is about 4-5 cycles. Decide what time you want to wake up, count backwards in 90 min intervals to find out when to go to bed.

What I learned today (day 14): The NYC subway system was built in 1904! How? They used the cut-and-cover method where they dug a trench in the street, installed infrastructure, and then covered it back up. It’s crazy to think of how they managed to do this all those years ago

What I learned today (day 13): Octopi have blue blood🐙 Their blood contains a protein called hemocyanin, which helps them survive in low-oxygen water. Hemocyanin contains blue-colored copper that transports oxygen in the blood plasma of arthropods and mollusks.

What I learned today (day 11): Inconsistency can be incredibly beneficial. Predictability can make life boring. Our brains thrive off of novelty - it improves perception, increases motivation, elicits exploration, and promotes learning. Do something new/different everyday.

What I learned today (day 10): Don't underestimate the importance of lateral networking. While it's great to network vertically with experienced professionals, your peers are equally important because tomorrow y'all are gonna be the ones leading industries.

What I learned today (day 9): Balance is a lie, especially if you're an entrepreneur. It takes extraordinary effort to do something that hasn't been done before. Balance is for the status quo. The crazy ones don't think about balance; they just build.

What I learned today (day 8): Peak-end effect: You’re psychologically inclined to remember any experience based on two moments - the peak and the end. This is why cab drivers always wish you goodnight and waiters always act extra courteous before bringing you the check.

What I learned today (day 7): Knowledge by itself is not power. Knowledge has the potential to be powerful when implemented. Learn to apply your learnings. Also, if knowledge can be power - learning is a superpower. Learn how to learn.

What I learned today (day 4): “You become the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” What’s funny is if you have one incredibly successful billionaire friend and four lazy friends - the average will still look great, but is it really? Pick your friends wisely

What I learned today (day 3): Learn to schedule, it’s a great skill to help you avoid wasting time. Schedule everything, even stuff you need to do by yourself. Consider it an appointment with yourself. If you respect yourself enough, you won’t miss it.

Self-discipline is the greatest form of self love. If you can endure discomfort and forgo short-term satisfaction for long-term gains you are doing your future self a favor in the present. #discipline
