Bestselling historical novelist Jeff Shaara joins the WV Book Festival for the 2025 event on Saturday, October 25th at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center. Shaara replaces TJ Klune, who recently cancelled his scheduled appearance at the Festival.

WV's State Superintendent of Schools, Michelle Blatt, paid a visit to KCPL's Main Library this week. The Superintendent served as guest reader for the Children's Tiny Tots program, part of the celebration of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

KCPL will close its Marmet Branch on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 5:00 pm, due to the physical deterioration of the building. To replace library services for the Marmet area, the KCPL Bookmobile will make regular stops at the current site each Thursday, beginning May 8th.
