Today a last minute deal saw Stagecoach London make their second acquisition within the space of a few months. They took over HCT's Ash Grove and Walthamstow depots, also marking the end of that operator in London.
9 years on, Tower Transit make an exit from London. Tomorrow Stagecoach take on their remaining operations out of Lea Interchange Garage.
Tomorrow Tower Transit take on operation of route 135, ending 7 years of Go Ahead London on the route, the route will be using VHs made free from route 733.
Barking Riverside pier quietly opened in thr past few days. Providing Barking with a new form of transport!
Today is the end of route 63s time at Go Ahead and route 414's time at Abellio. Tomorrow the 414 gets taken over by Tower Transit while route 63 moves to Abellio London. Route 414 is also withdrawn between Maida Hill and Marble Arch
Tenders today see RATP retain the contract to route 220 with existing buses while route 226 and 295 result in a bad day for Metroline as they move to RATP.
Tenders today see Arriva suffer another blow with Go Ahead taking the 264 while route 671 becomes Abellio's first school route. Routes 116, 119, 198, 245, 662, 655 and A10 are all retained by their existing operators
The latest post on the blog today focuses on the contract changes to routes 160 and 180 when they moved back to their traditional homes of Catford and Plumstead. thewestlondonbusblog.blogspot.com/2021/10/its-be…
Today marks the end of Go Ahead's stint on route 180, tomorrow the route returns to operation out of Plumstead garage with Stagecoach.
Today is Abellio's last day on the 49, and Metroline's last day on the 117 and X140. RATP take on all three routes tomorrow with the 117 using Citaro Ks and the 49 and X140 using spare Hybrids until electrics are available.
Tenders today see retains of the 70, 217, 617 and 629 while Tower Transit make wins in the form of route 135, 678 and rail replacement 733.
Tenders today see retains of routes 177, U10 and 613 by incumbent operators while a shock sees route 111 moving over to Abellio operation.
Good Luck to Gareth Southgate and the team tonight for the #Euro2020 final. No matter what the result the country is proud today!
Today's Tenders see route 13 retained by Tower Transit with its existing EvoSetis but PVR down to 22, while route 204 continues on at Metroline with brand new electrics!
Tenders today sees routes 55, 56, 350, 397, 433 and W16 retained by their incumbent operators. Routes 667 and 677 swap operators and Abellio London take on route 322
Today marks the end of @AbellioLondon on routes E1 and E9, tomorrow route E1 makes a move to RATP while route E9 returns to Metroline.
Tenders today see routes 148, 415 and U5 retained by their incumbent operators. Route 432 marks a win for Arriva while route 549 moves to Sullivan operation.
Yet another damaging tender result for Tower Transit, 5th of March 2022 will see route W15 transfer to Go Ahead London operation
No pictures from us today! But today is the last day of Abellio operation on route 481. RATP take over tomorrow with a huge upgrade from 8.9m buses to double decker buses.
