I just learned a new #mushroom term: Anastomosing Gills. This is when there are irregular vein like connections between the gills. This is partly why I like Xeromphalina so much :) Here's an example from an unidentified specimen from last fall. #fungi #science #keeplearning

@LForaging Fry them in butter/olive oil. You could add fried bacon lardons, onion, some garlic, season with salt & pepper and parsley. Make sure they’re not too wet! 😋

Have you ever considered foraging for wild food to save money. I love foraging, I think it's really satisfying getting free food. Yesterday I found some oyster mushrooms, which I took home to fry. There is so much to eat out there. Only eat if 100% sure tho. #foraging #savemoney
