During testing week, students had the opportunity to arrive late, throughout the day students preformed better and had more energy.
Some people have sleep disorders such as Delayed Circadian Rhythm (DCR) making it harder for them to function at early hours!
Studies show that teenagers brains don't start fully functioning until 10am! #laterstarttimes
if school started later then students could stay up later to finish hw and STILL get enough sleep! #laterstarttimes
How to sleep more effectively... 1. track sleep 2. go to bed at the same time every night 3. aim for circadian rhythm periods
Solutions to the sleep epidemic... 1. make sleep a priority 2. less homework 3. later start time for school
Why should we start later? Not getting enough sleep can lead to anger, depression, and excessive eating! #laterstarttimes
If a student doesn't get the necessary 8.5-10 of sleep, they won't be able to perform to the best of their academic ability #laterstarttimes
