I work for a private univ, in an at-will state, where I am staff (not-faculty) & I know they follow my main twitter account. So if you wanna know why I am dead silent on a lot of things.....

The stacks are getting re-arranged this summer. More than 1/2 of the shelving units removed & all the rest shifted around. Today I asked my Director when we'd be talking about how we want to re-arrange thing. "Oh, I've kind of already decided. But I guess we could bring it up."

One of our staff members here will add current students to her f*ceb**k friends & I find it deeply weird. They like her & seem to appreciate it. & she keeps up w/ them after graduation. But....boundaries?

All the buildings at my uni are locked down so you need a card to enter. Email: "As a reminder, it is imperative to everyone’s safety that we all adhere to the following: -Please refrain from entering the building in a group." Umm what? Also, all classes start at the same time..

I took a couple of sick days off work as mental health days cause I was noticing my anxiety was ramping up and up & never coming down. I've been back at work 20 minutes & I'm already furious, frustrated, and highly anxious again.

Coworker & I are having a lot of side convos about weird shit happening here & how to solve mutual problems we have in getting stuff done. This coworker is saving my sanity these days. Thank everything for passionate, efficient, focused coworkers who won't take or put up w/ shit.

I never ever used to think of myself as being especially, or certainly not "too" opinionated. But ever since starting library school...yeah I am hella opinionated & get less & less fearless about sharing them all the time.
