If states can shield their laws from review by federal courts, then CA will use that authority to help protect lives. We will work to create the ability for private citizens to sue anyone who manufactures, distributes, or sells an assault weapon or ghost gun kit or parts in CA.

Lala's dad has 3 pet rabbits. Today, while Gpa Lala is away, one of them escaped TWICE. He is safely back in his cage but has been renamed Houdini (from Lettuce). I might have lost some hair in the process from the stress of it. Things I didn't need to deal with today for $1000.

I sent my first query in 2007. Got an agent in 2009. Sold my 1st book in 2011. Didn't quit my day job until 2016. Hit the NYT list for the first time in 2019, with book #9. Then in 2020 with #11. Then last night with #12. There's no such thing as overnight success. Keep writing.

@sarakapadia Someone once said if you've been successful in one area of life, it's likely you'll be successful in another, b/c so many traits are transferable (discipline, ability to work hard, curiosity, growth mindset, etc). It sustained me for MANY years after I quit my 1st career.
