This disturbs me. The uniform alone is not a deterrent to these criminals. The fear in the officers voice at the end is palpable. Good result but what’s the cost? #taser

@Lesslethalweaps Police officers by and large are not trained to fight, let alone fight for their lives. There is also the ingrained fear of being judged to have used inappropriate amounts of force when facing very real danger. This needs to change. But it won’t.

@Lesslethalweaps Taser is also prohibitively expensive to role it out to all response officers. And probably for many forces, too expensive to even role it out further than they already have. So, what’s the answer?
