I mean... as a stammerer who stood for Parliament... I think it's pretty low to criticise a politician this way. You could have just quoted him. You *chose* to transcribe his stuttering. Stammering is a disability. A Mirror journalist should be above winking at casual ableism.

I'm very proud of what our local team achieved in Kettering, more than doubling the Lib Dem vote in tough national circumstances. While Lib Dem (and Green) votes are up across the board, once again our voting system shows why we need reform. Boris now has to deliver his promises!

Trans people are many times more likely to be victims of crime & abuse than people who are not trans. Trans women forced into men's spaces are at higher risk of sexual assault. Trans men forced into women's spaces face abuse too. I back policies based on evidence, not prejudice!

I'm delighted to see that the Lib Dem manifesto includes a pledge to freeze rail fares. Kettering and Wellingborough have some of the most expensive rail fares in Europe and an ever worsening service. As MP I will fight to reduce fares for Northants commuters. #GreenNewDeal

Our weekly reminder from John McDonnell, if it was needed, that Labour is a party that is happy to leave the European Union. It is probably not a shock that the Kettering Labour candidate told the Northants Telegraph this week that she would be happy with a 'soft Brexit'.

Exactly this. Trans rights are human rights yet the Labour manifesto cannot bring itself to say so. The term 'sex-based rights' is code for excluding trans people from public spaces, usually without evidence and with no regard to how much abuse and violence trans people face.
