#OnThisDay 7 years ago, Scotland voted by a 10.60% margin against independence on a turnout of 84.59%. 2,001,926 (55.30%) people voted against independence. 1,617,989 (44.70%) people voted in favour of independence.

There's these magic places called libraries who employ trained professionals called librarians, highly adept at organising books. It makes it easier for folk who can't afford hundreds of books to borrow ones that interest them. Shame you're closing libraries here in Glasgow.

Utterly shameless comment. The same drugs laws apply across the UK but Scotland's drug deaths figures are more than 3 times higher than those in the rest of the UK. These numbers have rocketed up under successive SNP governments which have slashed funding for addiction services.
