if you ever completely screw up your #KDE dual monitor setup, run `$ rm ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma* ~/.kde4/share/config/krandr*` to reset.
All it does is ejecting one of the cd or dvd drives once every 5 seconds when it is closed.
A simple prank to pull on Linux (especially over ssh) is the following while loop: `while sleep 5; do eject; done`

This proprietary #AMD driver is known to have other problems though, and runs less stable overall. It may even make your system unbootable.
AMD's proprietary driver however, works well with 3D effects, but will not run on the very last kernels.
For instance, the 'radeon' driver will usually work, but will not be happy with most 3D effects on newer cards (radeon HD 4xxx/5xxx).
'screen' also has some advanced features like tabs, and sharing a session with multiple users. This is handy when managing a remote program.
With 'screen', you can keep your current session running, and reconnect to it later, be it through ssh or locally.
ever wanted to disconnect a ssh connection, but keep the programs you are running going? Use the program 'screen'.
If rendering with #kdenlive repeatedly fails, try using either an older or newer version. Some versions don't like certain effects.

Want to download youtube videos through the CLI? Try the program 'youtube-dl'. Easy and efficient.
Linux, alone, is only the kernel, the gut of every distro.Although commonly refered to as Linux, the correct term for distros is Linux-based
Did you know Android is based on Linux? It is even possible to run a full desktop distro on it.
In Fedora, when, for whatever reason, you have to install Gnome from the CLI, use the following command: # yum -y groupinstall gnome-desktop
Instead of using a semicolon to enter multiple commands, you can also use '&&'. (By @Schoentoon)
You can use 'pipes' in #bash to directly use the output of one command as input for another: $ find | wc -l | wall
