I’m so sorry but it irks me to hear £37k is a good starting salary as a doctor because there’s potential to increase in 5-10 years. Apart from the obvious fact that pay shouldn’t be based on potential, our career pathway is no longer linear because of a lack of training posts.

@qatarairways send her her luggage asap please this is unacceptable for the status to be ‘active’ when we can see that her luggage has been in the stuck in the same place with no updates or progress for the last 2 days. This is a huge inconvenience and stress!

@UKFPO randomizing students' rankings sends a clear message to ambitious young drs starting their career that hard work doesn't pay off, you don't get what you earn, the bare minimum is sufficient, & there's no special value in pursuing excellence...Disapointing state of affairs.

Again - the medical training model was designed for single males in their early 20s who didn't mind packing their car and driving 400 miles to their next SHO post because of progression and perks that no longer exist. Top 5 preferences is potentially a HUGE geographic area.

It should not be controversial to say that adults ranging from 23-40s up should be able to stay somewhere long enough to buy a house & have at least SOME say over where they start their medical career/settle down🙄🥹 #ukfpo #MedTwitter pfft
