You can't raise taxes enough to cover out-of-control government spending. Therefore if you ever want to be serious about tackling the national debt, both sides of the candle need to burn. Apparently, this very logical conclusion is triggering. #TaxTwitter

@LorilynWilson I don’t understand how this is an objectionable statement???? Like at all?? ??
@LorilynWilson Isn't the 19th Amendment Women's Suffrage?
@LorilynWilson If you really want to trigger folks, remind them that the only department big enough to really affect the bottom line is the DoD. If you don’t cut that, cuts aren’t really going to help.
@LorilynWilson We need to cut like 30%-40% of govt programs/spending asap. Couldn’t agree more The private sector can and will do all necessary tasks better We have a bunch of unnecessary bullshit and ppl can’t get fired. So many “new jobs” are govt jobs
@LorilynWilson We keep voting for the same people so they keep getting further and further from the middle instead of solving the problems.
@LorilynWilson Congress needs to cut spending before any tax increases are discussed. We simply can’t tax our way to a better country.
