In isolation, it’s a 8/10 window. Can’t expect to fix every hole in one summer. More importantly, the players that they have bought in are great. United have never had a problem spending money, they’ve just spent poorly — which I think has changed this summer imo.

United didn’t exercise any loan option this season. In the past, they’ve looked at loan signings especially for midfield - Amrabat, Sabizter.
Additionally, they saved about 20m net in wages this summer which is usually the reasoning against a loan signing. Perplexing.

I’m surprised United didn’t sign a new midfielder (even on loan)
As per my calculation, United were able to save a net 20m on wages this year which they could have invested on a new signing. Since transfer fees are amortized and over the length of the contract, wages are a…
Even if you’re giving your new ST time to bed in, it just means you have an alternate way of playing where you don’t rely on a striker. If he’s not the most important player for your system, but then sign a mother starting position first i.e. GK or MF

For everyone that’s been clamoring about the system being flawed - yes, the system has its weaknesses and flaws, in fact major ones. But that is not why we lost against fourth division grimsby. If you cannot understand or comprehend that, football analysis isn’t for you.

Selling unwanted players has less to do with wages, player-manager relation, technical quality - it is more to do with agent and club-to-club relationship.
How a club performs on the on-the-field also has much lesser impact of being able to offload players. e.g., Look at…
Chelsea convince Milan, a club that hasn't spent more than £32.4m on a player since signing Rafa Leao in 2019...
To sign Christopher Nkunku, a member of their "bomb squad" who has only ever started 11 Premier League games for them... for £36.2m with a sell on clause.…
Unless United are willing to take a little bit of hit they will be taken advantage of by players like Garnacho.
Mbeumo/Cunha/Sesko only wanted United. Did it mean that we could have gotten them if we had offered 5m each? Garnacho says Chelsea is the only club he will go for.…
Chelsea have just sold Armando Broja for £20m.
Allowing them to sign Alejandro Garnacho for less than £50m would be a travesty. It should be more, but the circumstances don’t favour United.
🇪🇺🏴🎯 | Which teams of the PL Big-6 would best fit the 4 most chased strikers in Europe? Here it is 👇
🇸🇪 Gyökeres (26) — Man United/Liverpool
🇸🇪 Alexander Isak (25) — Arsenal/Tottenham
🇫🇷 Hugo Ekitiké (22) — Chelsea/Arsenal
🇸🇮 Benjamin Sesko (21) — Man United
@QuantK22@FZAFC83 There’s obviously an extent to which the public perception of your club’s transfer business has an actual impact.
Fans are happier with what they view as good deals, other clubs/agents view you as tougher negotiators and won’t make lowball bids, etc. Basically it’s nice free PR.
From a “£15m transfer fee” to “a deal that is worth £15m” to Lyon’s official confirmation of a €10m (£8.7m) fee with €5m (£4.4m) in add-ons.
The way Liverpool’s transfers are reported on remains mad.
You have to remember they can only sign a midfielder IF a midfielder leaves. That's been the rule for six years now and we can't break it!
Remains a mystery why we're slipping down the table and can't be competitive anymore though

Guess which one is apparently unproven & over-priced all of a sudden?
Benjamin Sesko (age 22) / Cost €75m + €10m (€85m)
Played: 224 / Goals: 100 / Assists: 26
Hugo Ekitiké (age 23) / Cost: €82.5m + €12.5m (€95m)
Played: 151 / Goals: 50 / Assists: 25
