DnB is a in a weird spot at the minute isn’t it? Love the energy that the jump up thing is bringing but it’s very immediate. The space for introspection in clubs & the music is shrinking. Do the new new gen not want to just put their heads down & get lost in it anymore?
Part of me think it’s a post covid cycle caused by a few years of not going out & things will balance out again but the promotion landscape seems to have moved on.Small promoters getting squeezed, undue management influence etc etc. Just a lack of musical purity in the ‘business’
