This spiral bridge on the Macclesfield canal in England is a brilliant piece of engineering from the 19th century, nicknamed the "Snake Bridge" or "Roving Bridge" it was designed to allow horses pulling canal boats to easily change banks without having to be unhitched.

This I like v. much :-) from a generally courteous & I think fairly laid back/tolerant person I become a raving monster inside my head when forced to hear top volume music, or very loud/ long conversations on public transport. I even change buses or tube carriages to escape it…
