Excited to share our work in @AnnalsofSurgery! Using National Health Interview Survey, we found #financialtoxicity is common among surg patients: 33% reporting general financial strain & 40% unaffordable care @PoojaNeiman @chasliu @KyleSheetz @DrJohnScott journals.lww.com/annalsofsurger…
Taken together, financial toxicity was reported by half of surgical patients & varies by income and insurance - pointing to policies and programs for intervention
