Hate Metallica all you want, but you cannot deny that Ride The Lightning / Master of Puppets / …And Justice for All is one of the best 3 album runs of all time
@MISGUIDEDS0N Also Lars is one of the best drummers in the whole wide band
@MISGUIDEDS0N No love for kill em all is insane
@MISGUIDEDS0N A lot of Metallica hate is because people liked those albums and then Metallica about-faced to reinvent themselves to keep up with trends.
@MISGUIDEDS0N All went downhill after Cliff died ☹️
@MISGUIDEDS0N If you started the list from Kill ‘Em All I’d agree
@MISGUIDEDS0N I like nearly the entirety of Metallica's body of work. Those three albums are incredible though. Justice being my favorite album from them.
@MISGUIDEDS0N Replace justice with kill em all and this post will be correct. Any self respecting Metallica fan will die on this hill 🫡
@MISGUIDEDS0N Kill Em All / Ride the Lightning / Master of Puppets >>>>>>>
Meh, it's been 40 years later. So many bands have had incredible runs like that. Annihilator Testament Megadeth Anthrax In Flames Opeth Ripped To Shreds Sepultura Slayer Hell Is Other People Death Angel Death Dream Theater Iron Maiden Judas Priest Archspire Korrosive Children Of Bodom Armored Saint Black Sabbath Ozzy
@MISGUIDEDS0N Justice is boring as batshit. Far from great. Now the first 3…
@MISGUIDEDS0N I would even go so far to say Kill em All through Black Album was just a stellar run. Few bands will ever do that. I love their whole catalog and a big fan. But, that stretch is iconic.
@MISGUIDEDS0N I personally dont think MoP is at the same level as the other 2 but I’ve been sleeping on Justice for All and it’s so underrated imo
@MISGUIDEDS0N One of those albums you can’t hear the bass guitar at all, which seems like it must be disqualifying from GOAT status
@MISGUIDEDS0N They simply cannot contend with Reign In Blood/South of Heaven/Seasons In The Abyss though
@MISGUIDEDS0N Justice was the first album I bought when I could afford a CD player, and I bought justice used. I still have that
@MISGUIDEDS0N People hate Metallica? Everyone enjoys Metallica
@MISGUIDEDS0N Personally I think you’re an album too late. Kill em all has to be top 10 debuts all time.
@MISGUIDEDS0N AJFA was one of the first true progressive metal albums fight me
@MISGUIDEDS0N Black album and reload are the most underrated ever. Unforgiven 1&2 Enter sandman Sad but true Nothing else matters Fuel Memory remains Where the wild things are Devils dance Bad seed Slither Cmon man
The hate is just because they didn’t stay as strictly a thrash-metal band, but after over a decade of thrash-metal dominance+producing the greatest metal albums of all time, they evolved + changed with the times. But STILL produced some great songs, like “Bleeding Me” which would have been a lot of other non-thrash metal band’s top song+ greatest hit.
@MISGUIDEDS0N I agree. I even enjoyed Load more than the Black album. Load has blues inspired song, a country track and showed Metallica was more than a one trick band. How many slash metal albums can you make before it gets old?
@MISGUIDEDS0N 3 albums Is a good enough number for me. These are great metal albums. My favorite ones from Metallica are these three and the first album
@MISGUIDEDS0N Forgetting about their best album is criminal
@MISGUIDEDS0N You gotta add Kill 'Em All to that list...
@MISGUIDEDS0N Definition of a Lame Band.. a band that primarily attracts 14 year old boys
@MISGUIDEDS0N 100%, amazing run. still wish i could hear more bass on justice though
@MISGUIDEDS0N Kill ‘em All thru Lightning is actually a better 3 album run IMO
@MISGUIDEDS0N Brother kill em all one of the best one album runs of all time
@MISGUIDEDS0N We don't hate Metallica, we just hate Lars and that they kept using Dave's music after they fired him.
RTL is great, but I'd shift that along, so Master - Justice - Black album. Not because the Black album is especially great compared to RTL, but because it shows the incredible way Metallica developed over those 3 albums. From thrash to proggy thrash to your-mum-now-likes-Metallica.
@MISGUIDEDS0N Metallica were a great 80s band MTV made them millionaires as well as made people turn off them by saturating the Black album singles. I loved it when it first came out, within 6 months I was getting bored of hearing it
i will always remember my first metallica song "blizkrieg" it broke my brain on what music could be,fast and heavy, then i heard motor head and although they were fast and heavy also i remember the first song i heard from them was orgasmatron not one of their fastest or heveiest ,but i broke my brain as to what music filled my soul
@MISGUIDEDS0N What do you mean you can’t deny? Watch this: I deny that Metallica had 3 great album runs of all time. Now what happens?
