Another Wed night, another game of Ultimate Frisbee. Smaller group tonight, but we started with some drills to get ourselves warmed up. A good time had by all (and no injuries).

Participated in a 2-day Ultimate Frisbee tournament. Had a great time, learned some humility and got better. But most importantly… I learned I need to start my Garmin tracker when a game starts and not pause it. I lost so much mileage forgetting to “resume”.

Challenged myself when I heard about this bike challenge while OCONUS. Did 600+ km in 2 months. Not too shabby! It came out to around 403 miles to be more exact.

I have walked so many steps… both distance and the vertical kind, the past week. Over 60 miles worth. Sadly, I don’t have an altitude traversed tracker that I know of. But it’s been worth every step.

Did a 4-ish mile hike today. It was awesome. My one mistake? I forgot to start my Garmin watch for the hike. So it shows the steps for the day, but not my hike specifically, including altitude traversed. So yeah, my bad. Have a great view!

I know not everyone loves Ultimate Frisbee the way I do. It’s not “America’s Sport” or anything like that. But everywhere I’ve gone in the world, I’ve found a few other folks who are willing to toss a disc around. And it has made every place a better place for me.

This weekend, I did not go for a hike. I went exploring instead. Just went to a nearby city I haven’t been to before, walked around, and found a local Pho restaurant. It had good noodles, but the broth was absolutely amazing. Don’t be afraid to get out and try new things.

There’s something motivating about finding other people with shared interests no matter where in the world you go. It keeps me going each day with a grin and a desire to keep pushing myself. Played Ultimate Frisbee last night for an hour and a half. Loved every second.

One of my passions is hiking. I love to do it, even when it sucks. I just don’t always post my hikes (though I do share with folks privately on here sometimes). Should I share my hikes? I don’t even know if folks would really care to see it that much.

Hey @JamesGunn, just wanted to let you know the first showing of Superman for Soldiers stationed overseas got a loud ovation and shouts of, “That’s the real Superman!” and “Man of Tomorrow!” Thank you for bringing back the Superman I remember and looked up to when I was a kid.

I crossed 100+ miles on my bike since arriving here over a month ago. Rookie numbers, but I feel good about it. And now, it’s time to start getting my running back to consistency. I’ve been slacking off… time to stop slacking. Hiking, while fun, isn’t running.
