I was told that students come from 17 provinces, do their first year in Beijing and finish up their degrees in Yantai. It’s not CNN, but in the heart of China’s holy land, it’s much more challenging to talk in-depth about the differences between Chinese and Western civilizations.

China is infinitely more nuanced than the black and white portrayals we see. How else can you explain this WeChat video in China that promotes the kindness of Islam in a “Communist” country that is committing a “genocide” against its Muslims we’re told by the Western media?

@MapleDragonMark @HAPPY889123 @ShangguanJiewen Not only because of propaganda. Average americans have seen their earnings stagnant in the last decade. Their quality of life declined while the elite top 10% wealth continue to climb. External threat is the best scapegoat for all their misery.

@HAPPY889123 @ShangguanJiewen I’m not American, but Canadian, and no one else knows the US like Canadians, and I completely agree that Americans once were open-minded and friendly, so I too, struggle to figure out what happened! I’m pretty sure it has something to do with propaganda!
