A Ford insider developer bought up undevelopable land for $21.5 million. Then Ford's Conservatives removed it from the Greenbelt. That same land could now be worth as much as $725 million. theglobeandmail.com/canada/article… #HandsOffTheGreenbelt #onpoli
That's an incredible increase to the De Gasperis family's wealth—all before even a single home is built. As @envirodefence points out: they've been "handed vastly valuable development rights that they never paid for." #HandsOffTheGreenbelt #onpoli
@MaritStiles The green belt is a scheme created by developers. We have land everywhere in Ontario / Canada. Like everywhere. Create scarcity where there is none. Buy cheap land and then get friends in power to change greenbelt status. Been happening for decades. Lot's of unproductive land.
@MaritStiles thats kinda how it works .. ya think JT didn't line up the wealthy for his pot leagalizing program
@MaritStiles This is criminal, & perhaps you should officially refer the matter to the OPP. It’s one thing for this matter to be subject to ethical review, but it’s much more than that.
@MaritStiles Thanks Marit ..Given the land purchases were in 2003 would it not be logical to conclude that Jim Flaherty and cronies were the real originators along with Roger Anderson, Ford being merely the acolyte? “Time wounds all heels”. ..they, $ folks, become ever more desperate.
@MaritStiles What makes this family Ford insiders?
@MaritStiles Why are we not in the streets with pitchforks? (Opportunity: FordFest London Ontario Western Fair August 20 1-5pm)
