My best decisison gym-wise was taking regular progress pics and seeing the progress over the weeks/months. Just be careful not to take too often pictures, because the progress will be minimal and it could discourage you.

Remember - the why is more important than the what. I need to get rich. Ok? Why? If you haven't figured out the why, then your most likely going to quit within a couple weeks. You need to have a good reason to do something if you want to succeed.
