If you are going to remove mask requirements, then you need to make sure that the only people gathering are fully vaccinated + boosted. This isn't controversial. It's Science.

For the people who are fully boosted and continuing wearing a mask, you will get through this. For the people who aren't, you are looking at a long harsh next few months of death and suffering for yourselves, your loved ones, and the hospitals that you will soon overwhelm.

I truly can't understand how the institution that is supposed to advise and protect us is sending the message that people do not need to wear a mask when we are still in the middle of a deadly pandemic.

The only way that children are going to survive now that mask mandates are ending in school, is by getting vaccinated and getting boosted. Please consider getting your child boosted if you have not done so already. We need as many people as boosted as possible.

My non-binary son is also terrified. He doesn't know what life is like without a mask. He knows that masks protect him and others, and now he is exposed. I will be triple masking him + face shield + anal swab testing before and after school.

New CDC guidance is irresponsible. As someone who has worn 2+ masks since March of 2020, I am forever astonished at how this country fails to put in the collective effort needed to stop the spread and save lives during a deadly global pandemic.

Under new CDC guidelines, masks are listed as an "individual prevention behavior." And CDC advises you to "talk to your healthcare provider about whether you need to wear a mask." Wrong. Masks are a collective measure, most effective when we all wear them to protect each other.

I am so scared of going into school next week without a mask mandate in place. How are we going to stay safe? There are many unvaccinated children who will be maskless. I have begun practicing my anal swab COVID tests on my children, as I plan to require this for my students.

While the CDC decides to let the immunocompromised die of exposure to COVID19 because of no more mask requirements, I will be triple masking and continuing to test my family daily for the virus. We must stay vigilant and keep working to stop the spread. #FollowTheScience

Over 3000 people are dying of Covid daily in the US. Pediatric deaths are surging. We aren’t testing, & very little data is reported in order to support the improvement illusion. There is no plan beyond mass disability & death. Get in line & wait your turn to die for Capitalism.

Closing our eyes and wishing COVID away won’t work. Pretending life is normal again also won’t work. You know what will ? Reducing transmission, cleaning the air, wearing a mask and getting fully vaccinated if/when you can

What a lot of people are not talking about right now is, with all of the Russian soldiers gathering together--when we are still in a pandemic--so many people are going to die of COVID. It is irresponsible for them to not wear high-quality masks. #COVIDIsNotOver

Starting next week, I will be using mandatory anal swab COVID testing for any students entering my classroom. I will be using gloves + 3 masks + a face shield. I am fully boosted and intend to keep myself and others safe. This is Science.
