Results of the Trends in Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) 2023 will be published on Dec 4th, 2024. The raw data for each educational jurisdiction will be publicly available in Feb 2025 for researchers to use in secondary analysis to inform policy - e.g. in Canada (Ontario).

Off to CMESG at the University of Regina presenting on the topic: “Mistakes, errors and misconceptions in calculus and how attitudes to these impact on learners’ affective disposition to learning the subject. Acknowledgements: Thanks to TMU and Brock University for funding.

More Successes Looking forward to working with TMU volunteers to support GTA children to succeed in the Kangaroo Maths Context in 2024. Three undergraduates engaged in research in OER, AI in Maths Ed and Statistical Methodology for the evaluation of educational interventions.

Re-invigorated by an #CELTCON2023 and I am back healthy to continue the mission. Some successes: Kangaroos Maths Context offered for the first time at TMU to children from the GTA area. 4 won national medals and 1 won both national and regional medals and 1 won regional.
