Pretty sure that even at the peak popularity of Orthodox Woke rituals, this kind of stuff was net negative even among reliably Democratic voters. Not going to reverse any trends this way.

Reminder: If you actually trace down the cited historical scholarship in the majority opinion of the key Rucho v. Common Cause gerrymandering case, it turns out that the central historical claim of the opinion is not supported by those citations. Reverse Rucho.

A 1-1.5% swing is a 2-3% margin difference, which is the difference between Clinton 2016 and Biden 2020. Republicans haven’t held a 10% seat advantage in the House since 2010.

There is nothing that stops either party, when in majority, from lobbing popular single-issue bills out. Battleground senators in the minority don't want to be recorded voting against cloture on a popular skinny bill. Fat bills provide cover for the paper filibuster.

A big part of effective civil disobedience: Force them to theatrically stuff you in jail. Because it's unreasonable. And people will hear about it. It's really unreasonable to jail someone for holding a blank sign outside a Chinese consulate to protest censorship.

I did an ad click test of my publisher's cover (which I like!) vs assorted AI images. Publisher's cover got fewer clicks. I think many readers want something that looks more like old-school fantasy art over more abstract design. Not quite sure what's driving publisher trends.

Democrats talked a big game about being the fair maps party after the 2010 cycle maps were drawn, then cried out that they wouldn't "unilaterally disarm" and gerrymandered as hard as usual in the 2020 cycle. As a party, Democrats haven't actually tried taking the high road yet.

(1) Life isn't over if you don't find someone by age 25 as a man. The guy he's responding to needn't freak out. (2) For most men, it won't get easier to find someone after age 25. Don't choose to wait. Try, but be aware that you might find the wrong one first.
